Woman allegedly st@bs her husband to d3ath in Abia 7 months after their wedding

A woman identified as Serah Innocent has allegedly st@bbed her husband, Innocent Nwaoji to d3ath in Umuokereke Ngwa, Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.
The incident occurred on Saturday night, August 8, 2026, less than 8 months after their white wedding.
Although the circumstances surrounding the alleged st@bbing and what may have led to the incident remain unclear, it was gathered that Nwaọjị was allegedly st@bbed while he was asleep.
A community member, David Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident on Sunday said the development shocked local residents.
“We are not aware of any disagreement between the couple before the incident. The woman has been arrested and is currently in police custody, while the deceased’s body had been deposited at a morgue,” he said.
