WAFCON 2026: CAF announce new ways to watch in Africa and worldwide
CAF Confirms Global Broadcast Partners for WAFCON 2026, Expands YouTube Streaming
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced an expanded list of broadcasters for the 2026 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), making it easier for football fans across Africa and around the world to follow the continent’s biggest women’s football tournament.
As part of the new broadcast strategy, CAF has added CAF TV on YouTube as an official streaming platform in several international markets. The decision follows complaints from fans in the African diaspora who were unable to watch the tournament’s opening matches due to the absence of local broadcast partners.
Supporters living in Europe and other regions without television rights holders took to social media to express their frustration over the lack of live coverage. In response, CAF confirmed that matches will now be streamed live on CAF TV via YouTube in selected territories, helping meet the growing global demand for the competition.
The move is expected to significantly expand the tournament’s reach as the historic 16-team edition of WAFCON continues in Morocco.
Countries where CAF TV will stream WAFCON 2026
Football fans in the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Turkey, Russia, Poland, Greece, the Balkans, Hong Kong, Mexico, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, the Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland), and across the Indian subcontinent will be able to watch matches live on CAF TV’s YouTube channel.
CAF has also secured additional television partnerships across several countries. DAZN will broadcast every match in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, while Sport 5 will air selected fixtures in Israel through to the final.
In Italy, Sport Italia will televise the semi-finals and final with Italian-language commentary, while Ziggo Sport Totaal will broadcast the final four matches in the Netherlands.
CAF added that more international broadcast agreements are expected to be announced as the tournament progresses.
How to watch WAFCON 2026 in Africa
Across Sub-Saharan Africa, every match will continue to be available live on SuperSport following CAF’s broadcast partnership with CANAL+.
All 34 matches of the tournament are accessible to DStv, DStv Stream, GOtv, and GOtv Stream customers, giving millions of football fans across the continent full access to the competition.
