Wizkid’s critically acclaimed fourth studio album, Made in Lagos, has made a surprise re-entry into the Billboard World Albums chart, landing at No. 17 and extending its record as the longest-charting African album with an impressive 146 weeks.

Originally released in 2020, Made in Lagos blends Afrobeats, reggae, and R&B, highlighting Wizkid’s artistry and global influence.

The album features standout tracks like Essence featuring Tems, which made history as the first Nigerian song to enter the Billboard Hot 100, later reaching the top ten with a remix featuring Justin Bieber.

Its continued success on the Billboard World Albums chart reflects the album’s widespread acclaim and the rising global impact of Afrobeats.

In 2022, Made in Lagos secured the No. 2 spot on Billboard’s Year-End World Album Chart, trailing only BTS’s Proof.
