Jadon Sancho is reportedly on the verge of a surprise switch to the Turkish Süper Lig, with Fenerbahçe lining up a long-term deal for the England international ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Fenerbahçe had initially set their sights on Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané, but lost out to the reigning Turkish champions. As a result, the club has turned its attention to Sancho, viewing him as a marquee alternative. The potential transfer marks a significant shift for the 25-year-old, who spent the previous season on loan at Chelsea.
Although Sancho was keen to remain at Stamford Bridge, contract negotiations ultimately broke down. Chelsea opted not to activate their £25 million purchase clause and instead paid Manchester United a £5 million penalty fee to terminate their obligation to buy.
Despite talks progressing, there is no solid confirmation yet that Sancho has accepted the offer from Fenerbahçe. Sources suggest the winger may still be holding out for a move to one of Europe’s top five leagues.
Manchester United have reportedly set a £25 million price tag for Sancho’s permanent transfer, while Fenerbahçe are only willing to go as high as £15 million — leaving a notable gap between both parties’ expectations.
Sancho’s fall from favour at United began under former head coach Erik ten Hag, which led to his loan exit to Chelsea during the 2025 summer transfer window. With his Old Trafford future in serious doubt, the coming weeks will be critical in determining the next chapter of his career.
