Former Manchester United goalkeeper Jack Butland hospitalized due to internal bleeding

Former Manchester United goalkeeper, Jack Butland, who currently plays for Rangers, was rushed to hospital on Tuesday with a ‘serious’ internal bleed.

Butland was set to feature for Rangers vs Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Thursday but is now ruled out.

According to the Rangers Review (via Mirror) the former England international spent the night in hospital but was discharged on Wednesday morning and while he is now out of hospital, the 31-year-old will miss the clash with Celtic at Ibrox on Thursday.

A product of the Birmingham City academy, Butland joined Rangers from Crystal Palace in 2023 following a loan spell with United.

He has since made 87 appearances in all competitions for the club, winning the Scottish League Cup last term.
