Skales rides viral wave with new single ‘Dance Like Lamine Yamal’
Nigerian singer Skales is turning a viral moment into music gold with the release of his new single, Dance Like Lamine Yamal.
After a video of FC Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal dancing to the song went viral across social media, the 2014 anthem found fresh life on European playlists and timelines.
Wasting no time, Skales joined the FC Barcelona squad at their Copa del Rey afterparty, where he performed for the players in celebration of their victory. The move not only strengthened his connection with European audiences but also set the stage for his latest release.
Skales has now unveiled a brand-new single titled Dance Like Lamine Yamal, a playful tribute to the breakout football star and a clever way to ride the momentum of Yamal’s soaring global profile. With Barcelona in strong contention for a historic treble this season, the timing couldn’t be better.
To further fuel the buzz, Skales shared a video of himself vibing to the new track on his social media page on Monday, May 5, 2025, giving fans a first look at what promises to be a lively, dance-driven release.
The collaboration of music and football culture continues to resonate with fans worldwide, and Skales appears set to keep the energy high as both he and Yamal enjoy a surge in international attention.
