In a candid interview with media personality Chude Jidonwo, Tobi, known for managing the popular crossdresser James Brown, opened up about a traumatic incident from his childhood, revealing that he was nearly assaulted by a man when he was just 12 years old.

Discussing his gender identity, Tobi explained that he identifies as non-binary. He also expressed that he sometimes entertains the idea that he might have been a woman in a previous life and returned in this life in a man’s body. Tobi further clarified the distinctions between being a cross entertainer, a crossdresser, and a drag queen, emphasizing the importance of understanding these differences.

Tobi also called for the Minister of Education to be more informed on these topics and urged educators to gain a better understanding so they can teach their students accurately and sensitively.
