Drama as Motorist attacks VIO officials after he was stopped for an inspection (video)

A video showing the moment some motorists attacked officials of the Vehicle Inspection Officials VIO at the Mile 2 area of Lagos state has made the rounds on social media.

The incident happened on Tuesday, August 26 when the officials used their patrol van to block a vehicle in the middle of the busy road.

It is unclear what led to this action by the officials, however, the video showed one of the perceived occupants of the car, removing his outfit, leaving only his underwear, and then proceeding to physically assault one of the VIO officials.

Another perceived occupant of the car could be seen punching one of the VIO officials as passersby gathered at the scene.

The driver of the VIO vehicle is later seen  driving off and leaving his colleagues to deal with their assaulters.

The agency is yet to release a statement on this incident.
