Here is a snippet of the new song by Ayra Starr that fans can’t stop talking about as she gears up for her first lead single of 2026.

The Afrobeats star has officially kicked off her 2026 musical era with a fresh teaser. On February 24, 2026, she took to her verified Instagram page to share an exciting preview of what is believed to be her first single of the year, reportedly titled “Where Do We Go” and stylised as #WDWG. The short clip has already sparked massive reactions across her global fanbase, building anticipation not only for the song itself but also for its bold visual concept.

In the teaser, Starr appears in a striking monochromatic purple makeup look, radiating what many fans have described as “purple glamour” against an industrial-themed backdrop.

The video begins with her confident two-word cue, “Yep, play,” before transitioning into the energetic, rhythmic sound that has become a signature part of her style. Music insiders suggest the track signals a more refined and intentional direction in her artistry.

The release follows a groundbreaking 2025 for the Mavin Records and Roc Nation act. Her album The Year I Turned 21 surpassed one billion streams on Spotify, making her the first Nigerian female artist to reach that milestone. Fans are now seeing “Where Do We Go” as the much-anticipated solo follow-up to her major 2025 collaborations, including “Gimme Dat” featuring Wizkid, which earned her a 2026 Grammy nomination, and “Who’s Dat Girl” with Rema.

The upcoming single is widely expected to serve as the lead track for her third studio album, which she recently confirmed is complete and scheduled for release in 2026. As the #WDWG era begins, Ayra Starr continues to rank among Nigeria’s most-streamed female artists, and her influence in the industry appears stronger than ever.
