What started as an electrifying night of music and celebration at Davido’s “5ive” album tour in Ibadan on Sunday, November 9, 2025, unexpectedly took a tense turn involving Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile.

The event, held at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, drew a massive crowd of over 25,000 fans, who were thrilled by energetic performances from Davido, Mayorkun, Dremo, B-Red, and other stars. However, the festive mood shifted shortly after Zlatan’s performance when his exit from the venue was reportedly disrupted by a group of unidentified individuals.

According to multiple eyewitnesses and viral video clips shared on social media, the group approached Zlatan in an aggressive manner, hurling insults and making veiled threats as security personnel tried to intervene. Despite the confrontation, the rapper maintained his composure, engaging briefly with the group without escalating the situation. His calm and controlled response is being credited with preventing what could have become a violent altercation in the midst of the large crowd.

The incident has since generated widespread buzz online, sparking concerns about security at major entertainment events in Nigeria. Fans and commentators have questioned how such a confrontation could take place in a tightly packed venue with supposedly strong security presence.

As of now, event organizers and Zlatan’s management have yet to issue an official statement regarding the confrontation. Meanwhile, discussions continue across social media platforms, with many urging promoters to tighten security protocols and ensure the safety of performing artists and attendees at future high-profile concerts.
