Spoiler Alert: Who Died in S2E1? In the action-packed premiere, Rhaenyra seeks revenge for her son Lucerys’ murder by Aemond. Daemon, acting on her behalf, hires two assassins to kill Aemond. However, they mistakenly target Aegon’s wife, Helaena, and her children, Jaehaerys and Jaehaera.
As the alarm is raised, the panicked assassins demand Helaena reveal which child is the boy. Following her reluctant answer, they kill Jaehaerys, beheading him in his bed, while Helaena escapes with Jaehaera. Despite initial confusion, it is confirmed that Jaehaerys was the one murdered.
With Aegon’s heir dead, the tension is set to escalate in episode two.
