As paranoia takes hold, disrupting his rehabilitation, a mysterious presence grows around him, and a long-standing teenage monster resurfaces. Matt’s therapist, convinced the monster is a figment of his imagination, endeavors to help him through the escalating chaos.

In an interview with Variety, Bret Easton Ellis explained why a horror film is the perfect fit for his directorial debut. Drawing inspiration from iconic 1970s horror movies and his horror novel “Lunar Park,” Ellis finds a sense of appropriateness in directing a feature that delves into the realms of fear and psychological suspense.

Describing “Relapse,” Ellis highlighted its simplicity and direct impact, emphasizing elements that align with his distinctive style, including sex, drugs, and paranoia. He envisions the film as a captivating and commercially appealing experience for a wide audience.

Joseph Quinn, not only venturing into the horror realm with “Relapse,” but also making waves in other prominent projects. Recently announced as part of the cast for Marvel’s “Fantastic Four,” alongside Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Quinn continues to showcase his versatility.

Additionally, audiences can anticipate his presence in “A Quiet Place: Day One,” slated for release in June, promising a dynamic and exciting year for the British actor.
