Singer Taylor Swift granted restraining order against ex-convict stalker
Pop superstar Taylor Swift has secured a five-year restraining order against a man she claims repeatedly showed up at her Los Angeles home and bizarrely insisted she had his baby.
Court documents obtained Monday, September 22, reveal that 45-year-old Brian Jason Wagner must remain at least 100 yards away from Swift, her residence, vehicle, and workplace. He is also prohibited from contacting her in any form, including in person, by letter, or digitally.
Additionally, Wagner has been barred from owning firearms, ammunition, or body armor, and must surrender any existing weapons to authorities.
Swift first obtained a temporary restraining order against Wagner in June after he reportedly appeared at her home on consecutive days in May, altered his driver’s license to list her address, attempted to divert her mail, and sent threatening digital communications.
Wagner, who resides in Colorado, did not appear at Tuesday’s hearing. The court order is expected to keep the singer safe and prevent further harassment.
