Jessie J Undergoes Breast Cancer Surgery, Shares Candid Update With Fans

British pop star Jessie J has revealed that she recently underwent surgery following a breast cancer diagnosis, offering fans an intimate look at her recovery process and emotional journey.

The 37-year-old singer took to social media to share a heartfelt post detailing the “honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours.” Alongside a series of photos and videos from her hospital stay, Jessie expressed deep gratitude to her medical team — including her doctor, surgeon, and the nurses who cared for her — and said she is now back home, resting and awaiting her results.

Jessie, who first disclosed her early breast cancer diagnosis at the start of June, has been widely praised for her openness and courage. At the time, she announced she would be having surgery shortly after her scheduled performance at Capital’s Summertime Ball, held on 15 June at London’s Wembley Stadium.

In her latest update, the Price Tag singer included touching visuals — from a video of her singing from her hospital bed just before surgery to a light-hearted clip of her post-operation holding a drainage bottle, joking that it looked like a “goji berry smoothie.”

She also shared tender moments with her partner, Chanan Safir Colman, and their young son, who visited her during her hospital stay.

Jessie’s message was not only one of transparency but of solidarity.

“Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now. We all got this!” she wrote, reaching out to others facing similar challenges.

The post quickly garnered support from fans and fellow celebrities.
TV presenter Gaby Roslin commented, “Sending you strength, energy and so much love you beautiful soul.”
Singer Marvin Humes added, “I know Sky will be keeping you smiling and giving you strength… You’re an absolute warrior.”

Jessie previously explained that going public with her diagnosis helped her process the experience and also served to support others battling cancer. Her willingness to share the vulnerable moments of her journey has resonated deeply with fans and the broader music community.

As she continues to recover, messages of love, strength, and admiration continue to pour in for the Essex-born star — a true inspiration to many navigating their own health battles.
