Nigeria Unveils Star-Studded Squad for 2026 World Cup Qualifiers

Here are the players announced in the provisional squad to represent Nigeria in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers to start in March 2025.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria seem to have their eye set on securing a 2026 World Cup qualification as the new head coach Eric Chelle has confirmed his provisional squad list ahead of the March 2025 qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

The 30 man squad list submitted by Eric Chelle and announced by the NFF is expected to be trimmed down to a 23-man list in the coming days. Maduka Okoye who has been missing out on action due to an ongoing investigation in the Serie A reprised his role in the team as a selection by Eric.

The balance of home-based players and international players adopted by Eric Chelle indicates that the head coach has been paying close attention to the players and is focused on building a squad that can compete on the biggest of stages.
