American rap icon Nicki Minaj has joined the growing list of global celebrities celebrating Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, following the grand success of their white wedding in Miami, Florida.

The Trinidadian-born rapper extended her warm congratulations while responding to a post Davido shared on X (formerly Twitter), in which he addressed critics of the lavish and widely publicized ceremony.

In his post, the DMW boss described the occasion as nothing short of magical, calling it a “fairytale” and one of the most unforgettable moments of their lives. He wrote, “We had an amazing wedding — perfect in every sense! Me and my wife, our bodies are still sweeting us from the joy. Nothing you say, do, or make up will ever change the fact that we had a fairytale wedding, and it was one of the best, if not the best, days of our lives! The whole world celebrated us!”

Nicki Minaj, known for her chart-topping hits and vibrant personality, quoted Davido’s post and penned a brief yet heartfelt note: “Congratulations to you both.”

This is not the first time the Super Bass hitmaker has publicly shown support for the celebrity couple. In 2024, she paused one of her live performances to acknowledge news of Davido and Chioma’s traditional wedding, playfully asking the audience to confirm the reports before sending her blessings to the newlyweds.

Her latest congratulatory message has since gone viral across social media, further fueling the excitement surrounding what many have dubbed one of the most glamorous and talked-about Nigerian celebrity weddings in recent years.
