Detectives have arrested the prime suspect in the brutal m8rder of two young women, Rosemary Njeri Ndekei, 22, and Hellen Wambui, 20, in Kenya.
The victims were recently r3ped and k!lled in Ngorongo village, Gituamba Ward, Gatundu North Constituency, Kiambu County.
The suspect, said to be the victims’ neighbour, Samuel Kamau, was arrested on Wednesday, April 16, in the ‘Dry’ area of Ngorongo and is currently in police custody.
Shockingly, he confessed not only to the crimes but also to attending both girls’ burials and even helping to dig their graves.
After murdering the first victim, Kamau kept her smartphone and began using it, which eventually led detectives to him through the phone’s IMEI tracking.
As for the second victim, he had disposed of her phone by dumping it into a pit latrine, where local youths assisted police in retrieving it earlier today.
The suspect has admitted to both raping and k!lling the two girls and has shown no signs of remorse.
He is now undergoing processing and will be arraigned in court.
It was gathered that Wambui, described as a God-fearing, introverted young woman, was sent by her mother to an MPESA shop to withdraw money for their dinner around 5 PM on March 30, 2025 but she never returned home.
For two agonizing days, her family searched for her, only to receive the devastating news on Tuesday evening that her body was discovered just meters from their home.
Njeri was found d3ad at a coffee plantation and her body doused with acid after her boyfriend, John Ndung’u Mwihaki saw her off in another town to see a friend.
