Chelsea Announce Another Transfer for Next Season

Chelsea Football Club has announced the signing of teenage forward Estevao Willian from Palmeiras, with the Brazilian set to join the Blues next summer.

The official announcement was made on Chelsea’s website on Saturday, June 21, 2024. Estevao Willian is regarded as one of the most promising talents in the Brazilian league, known for his exceptional footwork.

The young forward has signed a nine-year contract with Chelsea, which will keep him at the club until at least 2033.

Reports indicate that Chelsea paid Palmeiras a fixed fee of €34 million, with additional performance-based add-ons. These include €6 million based on appearances, €17 million for becoming a multi-season starter, and an extra €4 million for more challenging milestones.

Estevao has made 10 appearances in the Brazilian Serie A for Palmeiras, scoring two goals and providing two assists. He has also scored in the Copa Libertadores and Copa do Brazil. At Stamford Bridge, he will join fellow Brazilians Andrey Santos, Deivid Washington, and Angelo Gabriel.
