20-year-old returning from church k!lled by stray bullet fired by cultists in Bayelsa

A stray bullet fired by suspected cultists have k!lled a 20-year-old woman simply identified simply as Blessing in the Amassoma area of Bayelsa state.

According to reports, the suspected cultists had stormed a laundry shop in the area to attack a man. The intended target reportedly sighted the assailants and tried to flee, prompting the gunmen to open fire. A stray bullet was said to have missed the fleeing victim and struck Blessing who was just returning from church.

Confirming the incident to newsmen, spokesperson of the command, Musa Muhammed, said the victim was rushed to the hospital where she later d!ed.

He said the police has launched an investigation into the incident.
