Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, recently made waves online after paying an unexpected visit to the mother of his former signee, Damilola Abdulrasaq Afolabi, better known as LAX.
In a viral video making rounds on social media, LAX’s mother was seen being guided down a staircase by her household members, unaware that Wizkid was waiting to surprise her. The moment she laid eyes on him, she was visibly overwhelmed with joy.
In a display of deep respect, following Yoruba tradition, the Essence hitmaker immediately prostrated upon seeing LAX’s mother. The heartwarming reunion saw her embracing Wizkid warmly, referring to him as her son and expressing sheer delight.
