The Afrobeats world was thrown into a frenzy on Thursday, December 5, 2025, after Wizkid and Asake officially confirmed they are teaming up for a joint project titled Real Vol. 1.
The exciting announcement was made during a special takeover on Apple Music Radio, bringing weeks of intense fan speculation to an end and instantly setting social media abuzz.
The collaboration represents a major milestone for modern Nigerian music, bringing together Wizkid, one of Africa’s most globally celebrated superstars, and Asake, whose explosive fusion of Afrobeats, Amapiano, and street-pop has made him one of the most dominant hitmakers of this generation.
