When coming to theatre for surgery kindly remove your charms – Nigerian doctor says

A Nigerian doctor, DS Omeiza has advised people to remove “charms” attached to their bodies before being wheeled into theatre for surgery.

The doctor, who stated this in a Facebook post on Sunday, July 6, said if a charm cannot cure the ailment then it won’t contribute to a successful surgery.

“When coming to theatre for surgery, kindly remove all these encumbrances. If a charm cannot cure you or change your situation to avoid surgery, then, it surely not what you need for successful surgery. This is common among village dwellers,” he wrote.
