Chelsea Football Club has officially unveiled the jersey number for their new signing, Brazilian sensation Willian Estevão, ahead of the highly anticipated 2025/26 football season.

The young winger was introduced to the Blues’ faithful during a special presentation at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. As confirmed by the club, Estevão will don the number 41 shirt — the same number he wore during his time at Palmeiras, symbolizing both continuity and a fresh chapter in his career.

Fans could get their first glimpse of Estevão in Chelsea colors this weekend during the VisitMalta Weekender double-header, with matches scheduled against Bayer Leverkusen on Friday, August 8, and AC Milan on Sunday, August 10, both to be played at Stamford Bridge.

What has Willian Estevão said about joining Chelsea?

Speaking on his arrival, the talented forward expressed his excitement and gratitude:
“I am very happy. It feels incredibly rewarding to represent Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world,” Estevão said. “This is a special moment for me, and I hope to contribute as much as I can to help the team succeed.”

Head coach Enzo Maresca also shared his thoughts on the promising youngster. While full of admiration for Estevão’s potential, Maresca emphasized the importance of patience, urging fans and pundits alike to avoid placing too much pressure on the teenager. “He’s an exceptional talent,” Maresca noted, “but we must allow him time to adapt and grow — he’s still very young.”

The Chelsea fanbase will no doubt be eager to see what the Brazilian prodigy brings to the squad as the new season approaches.
