Following her standout victory at the 2026 Grammy Awards, South African sensation Tyla has given fans even more reason to celebrate by teasing new music and officially unveiling the title of her next album.

Still glowing from her memorable night at the Grammys, where she secured her second Grammy Award—this time winning Best African Music Performance for her chart-topping hit “Push 2 Start”—the singer made the exciting revelation backstage while speaking with reporters.

With a bright smile and obvious excitement, Tyla paused to make a special announcement.
“I just want to announce something,” she said. “My sophomore album is coming out this summer, and it’s called A-POP.”

Although the 24-year-old did not dive deeply into the details of the project, she assured fans that new music would arrive very soon, fueling anticipation around what promises to be one of the most talked-about releases of the year.

Tyla has steadily carved out a unique lane in global music, becoming known for her effortless blend of pop and R&B with amapiano, a sound fans and critics alike have dubbed “popiano.” This fusion has helped her cross borders and connect with audiences far beyond South Africa.

Speaking on the creative direction of the album, Tyla emphasized growth rather than reinvention.
“It’s going to feel different,” she explained. “It’s not a new me—just more of who I am now. I was 21, 22 before. Now at 24, I really feel like a woman, with more to say and new energy to bring. I’m so excited.”

Eagle-eyed fans also discovered that Tyla had been quietly teasing the album title for a while. In the music video for her No. 1 Afrobeats hit “Chanel,” the words “A-POP” briefly flash on screen around the 52-second mark, a subtle hint that has since sparked renewed interest and online discussion.

To further mark her Grammy triumph, Tyla took to social media on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, sharing a celebratory video that featured a short snippet of an unreleased song from the upcoming album. The teaser offered fans a first taste of what A-POP might sound like, instantly sending excitement levels soaring.

“It’s going to be crazy,” Tyla added, hinting that the project—already generating massive buzz—is set to deliver something bold, fresh, and unforgettable.

With a Grammy win, a new era on the horizon, and fans eagerly waiting, all eyes are now on Tyla as she prepares to usher in the A-POP chapter this summer.
