Two girls land in hospital after fighting over a man (video)
A disturbing video from Tamale, Ghana, has sparked widespread outrage after it showed two young women engaged in a violent and bloody fight over a man who was not even present at the scene.
The footage, which has gone viral across multiple social media platforms, captures the women exchanging fierce blows, biting each other, and becoming soaked in blood. The confrontation, described by many online users as resembling a “battle between wild animals,” continued unabated despite both sustaining visible injuries to their faces and bodies.
Eyewitnesses reported that the fight broke out following an argument about who the man in question truly belonged to. What began as a verbal dispute quickly escalated into a brutal physical altercation.
Attempts by bystanders to break up the fight were unsuccessful until local authorities arrived and intervened. The scene has since drawn condemnation and concern, with thousands reacting online to the intensity of the violence.
While some users expressed sympathy for the injured women, others criticized them for allowing themselves to be consumed by such aggression over a man.
“Two women fighting like gladiators while the guy is probably sipping juice with someone else. Sad and senseless,” one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
A new video circulating online shows one of the women receiving medical treatment at a hospital. Her face, visibly damaged from the biting, is seen being stitched as healthcare workers attend to her injuries.
The incident has reignited conversations about self-worth, societal pressures in relationships, and the dangers of resorting to violence over romantic disputes.
