Trump releases statement after second ass@ssination attempt on his life

On Sunday, September 14, former U.S. President Donald Trump issued an urgent “alert” to reassure his supporters after a concerning security breach at one of his golf resorts. A man armed with a high-powered rifle was taken into custody at Trump’s International Golf Course in West Palm Beach.

“There were gunshots in my vicinity, but before rumors start to spread, I wanted you to hear this from me directly: I AM SAFE AND WELL!” Trump wrote in the statement.

This marks the second firearms-related incident he’s been involved in since July, with the latest happening during his time at the resort.

Trump’s swift response was meant to quell any panic, much like how prominent figures in Nigeria’s political scene or public life may act quickly to assure their supporters during a security scare, particularly given the rising concerns about safety in public spaces globally.

“Nothing will slow me down. I will NEVER SURRENDER!” he continued.

“I will always love you for supporting me. Unity. Peace. Make America Great Again. May God bless you.”

Trump was targeted by the would-be assassin with an AK-47 assault rifle, the second time he is being targeted for assassination in 2 months.

The would-be shooter was 300-500 yards away from Trump and came with scope and GoPro — ‘Intent on filming’

Police say investigation is still ongoing and the shooter is currently in custody.
