Three women were k!lled with one left with critical injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Lake County on Sunday, March 30, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 3:16 a.m. on State Road 19, south of Saint Florian Lane, troopers said.
One of the women in the car shared a video of them drinking and listening to loud music in the car just moments before the crash.

According to an FHP crash report, a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling northbound on S.R. 19 when its driver failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and the SUV ran off the roadway to the right.
The vehicle was being driven by 30-year-old Shaykaylah Mathis, of Mount Dora, and carried three passengers from Eustis, Kaneisha Lewis, 32; Aqutavia Pew, 28; and a 26-year-old woman, whose name has not been released by troopers.
The Jeep struck a pole on the right shoulder and overturned several times, causing the driver and all three passengers to be ejected from the vehicle, according to the report. Troopers believe none of the Jeep’s occupants were wearing seat belts during the crash.
Mathis, Lewis and Pew were pronounced de@d at the scene, according to FHP. The 26-year-old Eustis woman was in critical condition at the time of this report, troopers said.
FHP is still investigating.
