The pain of your absence is immense” – Buhari’s daughter, Hanan mourns her late father

Hanan Aisha, daughter of former President Muhammadu Buhari, has paid an emotional tribute to her late father.

The ex-President passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025 in a London hospital. He was aged 82.

The mother of two took to Instagram on Wednesday morning, July 16, to express her grief with a heartfelt message, thanking Allah for the opportunity to give her father a final goodbye.

Sharing a photo of her holding Buhari’s hand in his final moment, she wrote: “The pain of your absence is immense, but I am finding strength in the love you gave me. You are the reason I know what unconditional love feels like.. I thank Allah for giving me the opportunity to give you the goodbye kiss.

“I will endure a lifetime of missing you for the privilege of loving you.”
