Jeremy Allen White stars as Carmy, the lead character in The Bear.

White gained prominence for his role as Phillip “Lip” Gallagher in the US version of Shameless. He also featured in the 2024 film The Iron Claw, which delves into the story of the Von Erichs, a renowned family of professional wrestlers.

In January 2024, White was appointed as a global ambassador for Calvin Klein underwear. His associated campaign generated $12.7 million in media impact value within just 48 hours.

He is currently in a relationship with the Spanish singer Rosalia.

Ayo Edebiri

Ayo Edebiri portrays the skilled sous chef Sydney Adamu in The Bear.

Born in Boston in 1995, Edebiri started her career as a stand-up comedian. She gained recognition for her role as chef Sydney Adamu in The Bear, and has appeared in TV series such as Abbott Elementary and Black Mirror.

Her film credits include Theater Camp, Bottoms, and Inside Out 2.

Edebiri has contributed to writing for shows like Sunnyside, Big Mouth, What We Do in the Shadows, and The Eric Andre Show.

In February 2024, she also hosted Saturday Night Live.

In a recent press conference, Allen White and Edebiri decisively dispelled rumors suggesting a romantic storyline between their characters.

Recent footage of the duo attending a baseball game together sparked speculation about their real-life relationship.

“We genuinely enjoy each other’s company both on and off camera,” Allen White clarified to Vanity Fair. “I have immense respect for her as both a person and an artist.”

“I think that mutual respect translates into the dynamic between Carm and Syd on screen,” he continued. “Syd always brings something unique to Carmy, and she’s usually right. And I guess, in real life, I think Ayo is usually right too.”
