Japanese model Aoi Fujino has d!ed at the age of 27, just days after she announced her retirement.

Fujino had shared that she was stepping back from the spotlight on December 31 in an emotional online post.

‘This is my last message to all Aoi Fujino fans,’ she said at the time. ‘I really loved you. Thank you so much for everything up until now. ‘Please remember me once in a while. Lol.’

Tragically, just five days later, on January 5, her mother announced she had passed away after fighting an illness.

‘We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who took care of her during her lifetime,’ she wrote in a post shared to Fujino’s Instagram page.

Aoi, who was from Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, was diagnosed with a rare malignant tumor called rhabdomyosarcoma three years ago.

The actress and model, who specialized in provocative swimsuit and lingerie photos and videos, had put her career on hold to focus on treatment after her diagnosis.

She returned to work in August 2024, but had to step back again six months later due to health problems.

She continued to work and attend meet-and-greet events with fans in 2025.

Before her de@th, she shared a post with her 70,000 Instagram followers about how she would like to be remembered.

‘As long as people remember that beautiful and energetic me, I will be very happy and feel extremely blessed,’ she wrote.
