Speculations rise as P-Square brothers make surprising online move

Spread the love

The iconic Nigerian music duo P-Square appears to be heading for yet another internal rift, as twin brothers Peter Okoye (Mr. P) and Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) have reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking widespread concern among fans.

The discovery, which surfaced on Monday, October 13, 2025, quickly spread across social media, with many fans expressing disappointment and frustration at what appears to be renewed tension between the once inseparable brothers.

Although neither Peter nor Paul has publicly addressed the situation, the move has reignited fears of another possible split — something followers of the duo have witnessed more than once.

P-Square, whose energetic performances and timeless hits like Do Me, Beautiful Onyinye, and Personally dominated the African music scene for years, first broke up in 2017 following disputes over family and management issues. Their breakup left fans heartbroken and divided, as both brothers pursued solo careers under their respective stage names — Mr. P and Rudeboy.

After four long years apart, the duo finally reconciled in 2021, reuniting on stage and promising to put their differences behind them. Their comeback was hailed as one of the most emotional moments in African entertainment, rekindling hope among fans who had missed their chemistry and stage magic.

However, in 2023, rumors surfaced suggesting another fallout after signs of distance and reduced public interaction between the brothers. Though neither side confirmed the reports, fans suspected tension behind the scenes.

Adding fuel to speculation, Peter Okoye had previously shared a cryptic post on social media, hinting that the era of P-Square might be permanently over. Responding to a fan who lamented the group’s disbandment, Peter wrote,

“There will be nothing like P-Square forever. There is a time for everything.”

He further stated that he was “his own Square,” while referring to his brother Paul and their elder brother (and former manager) Jude Okoye as the “new P-Square,” implying that the chapter of the original P-Square might have finally closed.

The latest development — the Instagram unfollowing — has therefore deepened public speculation that another fallout is brewing between the Okoye twins. Fans have taken to social media to plead for peace, reminding the brothers of the bond they once shared and the musical legacy they built together.

For now, no official statement has been made from either camp, leaving fans anxiously wondering whether this is a mere misunderstanding or the beginning of yet another separation in the story of one of Africa’s most beloved duos.
