Spartak Moscow has announced the departure of Victor Moses – Spartak Moscow, a prominent club in the Russian Premier League, has officially confirmed the departure of Nigerian footballer Victor Moses from their roster.

The seasoned 33-year-old midfielder bid farewell to the Moscow-based team following his last match, a triumphant 3-1 victory against Rubin Kazan on Sunday, May 20th.

Announcing his departure on their social media page, Spartak Moscow said;

“Official: Victor Moses is leaving Spartak at the end of the season,” reads the message.

“Two-time medalist of the Russian Championship, winner of the Russian Cup, one of the heroes of the group stage of the Europa League 2021/22

“We thank Victor for the years spent in our club. We wish you success and good luck! ❤️.

During his tenure with the former Russian Premier League champions, Victor Moses showcased his prowess on the field by scoring nine goals in a total of 70 league appearances.

The 33-year-old initially joined Spartak Moscow on loan from Premier League giants Chelsea during the 2020/21 season, where he made a significant impact on the team’s performance.

Following his successful loan spell, Spartak Moscow opted to make Moses’ move permanent in the subsequent season, solidifying his position within the club’s roster.

Victor Moses is a Nigerian professional footballer renowned for his versatility and dynamic playing style. Born on December 12, 1990, in Lagos, Nigeria, Moses began his football journey at a young age, showcasing exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.

Moses’ career took off when he joined the youth academy of Crystal Palace, where his potential quickly caught the attention of scouts and coaches.

He made his professional debut for Crystal Palace in 2007, displaying his skill as a winger and earning acclaim for his pace, dribbling ability, and goal-scoring prowess.

After impressing at Crystal Palace, Moses attracted interest from top clubs, eventually signing with English Premier League side Chelsea in 2012.

During his time at Chelsea, Moses enjoyed considerable success, contributing to the team’s triumphs in domestic and international competitions. Notably, he played a key role in Chelsea’s Premier League title win in the 2016-2017 season under manager Antonio Conte.

Despite his success at Chelsea, Moses experienced several loan spells at other clubs, including Liverpool, Stoke City, and West Ham United, before ultimately joining Spartak Moscow in the Russian Premier League.
