South African singer Shebeshxt arrested for attempted murd3r
South African musician Shebeshxt, whose real name is Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident that left one man critically injured.
The Limpopo Police confirmed that the 30-year-old artist was taken into custody during an intelligence-led operation in Bendor, Polokwane, around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12.
According to police reports, the arrest follows a road rage incident that occurred on Sunday, October 19, 2025, along Witklip Street in Ladanna, just outside Polokwane.
Investigators revealed that Shebeshxt was allegedly involved in a heated confrontation with another driver during which he pulled out a firearm and fired several shots at the vehicle. A 34-year-old man was struck and later rushed to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Police spokespersons confirmed that Shebeshxt has been formally charged with attempted murd3r and will appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, November 13, 2025, to face the charge.
