Real Madrid’s Raul Asensio Could Face Jail Over Alleged S*x Tape Involving a Minor

Real Madrid footballer Raul Asensio is potentially facing a lengthy prison sentence, along with three other players, following allegations of sharing a sexually explicit video involving a minor.

On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, the Gran Canaria High Court of Justice announced that the investigation into the case had concluded, with formal criminal proceedings now set to begin. According to the court, Asensio and three other footballers are accused of recording and distributing explicit videos that allegedly featured a minor and another woman.

The other individuals named in the case include Andres Garcia, Ferran Ruiz, and Juan Rodriguez. The alleged incident is said to have taken place at a beach club in Gran Canaria in June 2023. Ruiz, Rodriguez, and Garcia were arrested in September 2023, and although Asensio initially appeared as a witness, his testimony led to his inclusion in the ongoing investigation.

In February 2025, Asensio’s appeal to halt the investigation into his role was rejected by the court, further solidifying his position among the accused. While the other three players have since left Real Madrid in the summer of 2024, Asensio, 22, remains with the club and has made 41 appearances across all competitions since making his senior debut in November 2024.

The case continues to draw public attention, with growing concerns over the implications for the players involved and the reputational impact on the clubs connected to them.
