Real Madrid ‘regret’ signing Kylian Mbappé amid r@pe investigation

Reports suggest that Real Madrid, the iconic Spanish football club, now regret their decision to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.

The French forward, who made a high-profile free transfer to Real Madrid this summer, has found himself at the center of controversy after serious allegations of rape surfaced in Sweden.

According to reports from Swedish media, the alleged incident took place on October 10th at a hotel in Stockholm. Mbappe has categorically denied the accusations.

This controversy comes only a few months after his eagerly awaited transfer to Madrid, a move that had generated significant excitement among fans and pundits alike.

Despite a solid start to his career at the Santiago Bernabéu, where he has scored seven goals in 11 appearances, the club is reportedly dissatisfied with both his performances on the pitch and his behavior off it. These issues, combined with the current scandal, have caused growing frustration within the Real Madrid camp.

Renowned French football journalist Romain Molina added weight to the speculation by stating that the club has come to regret signing Mbappe.

“They regret bringing him in; I guarantee that,” Molina said during an interview. “This situation is far from what they had expected. It was purely a decision pushed by [Florentino] Pérez. He was the only one who wanted this signing.”

The turn of events has cast a shadow over what was supposed to be a new chapter of success for both Mbappe and Real Madrid.

“The club are gutted, firstly with his level (performances), which is not at all at the expected levels; in the dressing room it isn’t great; that isn’t necessarily Mbappé’s fault though.

“I think Real have made a big mistake. He didn’t have a preseason; he played instantly, unlike [Jude] Bellingham. When you see how [Mbappé] is physically at 25, you can’t explain it to me. The physical drop-off that he has had at 25, I have never seen that,” Molina said.

The allegations against Mbappe could have significant consequences for the player and Real Madrid.
