Offset Seeks Spousal Support Amid Ongoing Divorce From Cardi B

Offset isn’t stepping away from the spotlight—or the courtroom—as he officially seeks spousal support in his ongoing divorce from Cardi B.

The highly publicized breakup between the two stars has taken another dramatic turn, with new reports revealing that the former Migos rapper is now requesting financial support from his estranged wife. According to TMZ, Offset recently filed an amended response to Cardi’s divorce petition, asking for spousal support, although no specific amount was mentioned in the court filings.

This development marks the first significant update since Cardi B filed for divorce in August 2024, ending their seven-year marriage marked by both public highs and personal challenges. At the time, Cardi dismissed rumors about Offset being an absent father, despite the couple’s tensions frequently surfacing on social media.

Offset is also pushing for joint custody of their children, suggesting that Cardi’s residence remain the kids’ primary home. The pair share three children: daughter Kulture, son Wave, and a third child born in the summer of 2024.

In recent months, the divorce has continued to unfold in the public eye. In April, Offset took to X (formerly Twitter) to express frustration over the ongoing drama, writing in a now-viral post: “Keep my name out shiit please thank you… I want peace no smoke… we grown man she happy let her live.” Though the post implied a desire to move on, his new financial filing indicates that legal proceedings are far from over.

Despite the personal turmoil, both artists remain focused on their music careers. On May 28, 2025, Offset announced that his next project is finished and ready for release. Meanwhile, Cardi B is continuing work on her long-anticipated sophomore album—the follow-up to her Grammy-winning debut Invasion of Privacy. Fans have been anxiously awaiting the release, which Cardi recently said has been delayed due to pending collaborations.

As the legal battle intensifies, the public remains fixated on how this high-profile divorce will play out in the coming months.
