Rapper Nicki Minaj is scheduled to appear at an upcoming U.S. Treasury Department summit aimed at promoting a new pilot initiative under the Trump administration that would offer government-backed investment accounts for select children.
According to a Treasury Department statement, Minaj will speak at the event alongside President Donald Trump, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, investor and former Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary, and actress Cheryl Hines.
The summit is designed to spotlight “Trump Accounts,” a proposed federal program that would create investment accounts for children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028. Each eligible child would receive a one-time $1,000 deposit from the government to help jumpstart long-term financial growth.
Minaj confirmed her participation through a post on X, where she emphasized the importance of early financial education and support for young people.
She described the initiative as a meaningful way to “pay it forward,” noting that introducing children to financial literacy early could give them a significant advantage in life and, in some cases, enable them to educate their own parents about investing. She added that the program made her feel optimistic about the future.

In December, Minaj took part in Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest conference in Phoenix, where she joined a discussion with conservative commentator Erika Kirk. During the event, she spoke positively about Trump and Vice President JD Vance, expressing admiration for their leadership and crediting Trump with inspiring hope among his supporters.
Those remarks sparked criticism from some fans, but Minaj has continued to draw attention for her outspoken presence online.
Earlier this year, she posted a strongly worded message on social media directed at journalist Don Lemon, who was covering a protest against Immigration and Customs Enforcement that disrupted a church service in Minneapolis. Lemon was not involved in organizing the demonstration. Minaj’s comments were widely criticized for their tone and language.
In November, Minaj also appeared at a United Nations event, where she addressed the persecution of Christians in Nigeria. During her remarks, she praised Trump for bringing international attention to the issue during his presidency and for advocating action against religious violence and extremism.
