New Development Emerges in ASAP Rocky’s Legal Case

Just a week after being acquitted in his felony assault trial, ASAP Rocky is now facing a civil lawsuit from his accuser, ASAP Relli.

Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, was accused of a 2021 attack on his former friend in Hollywood. If convicted, he could have faced over 20 years in prison, but a jury recently cleared him of all charges.

Despite this legal win, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge William Fahey has lifted a hold on Relli’s assault and battery lawsuit, scheduling a trial for January 12, 2026, Rolling Stone reports.

Relli’s attorney, Melisa Mikhail, confirmed her client has no plans to drop the case, emphasizing the lower burden of proof in civil court. “We still believe our claims have merit and intend to fully litigate them,” she said during a virtual hearing.

Although acquitted in criminal court, ASAP Rocky—who shares two children with Rihanna—now faces a new legal battle.
