Speaking on the track, Metz frontman Alex Edkins shared insights into its creation, stating, ” ‘Light Your Way Home’ is undeniably one of our favorites from ‘Up On Gravity Hill.’ I drew inspiration from artists like Jesu and Low during the writing process, particularly during the winter months. Lyrically, the song delves into the profound sense of longing for loved ones to the extent of losing touch with reality.”
Edkins further elaborated on the production of the track, highlighting its unprecedented sonic and lyrical depth. He praised the collaboration with Amber Webber, whose mesmerizing vocals elevate the song to new heights. The accompanying video, directed by Colin Medley, brilliantly encapsulates the essence and thematic depth of the song.
As anticipation mounts for the album’s release, Metz prepares to embark on a spring North American tour, followed by performances in the UK and Europe in November. Fans can also catch them at the Green Man festival in Wales, as well as at various European festivals in France and Spain, promising an exhilarating live experience for audiences worldwide.
