Meghan and Harry Debuting Two New Netflix Series Soon

Its in the news that Meghan and Harry Debuting Two New Netflix Series – The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly expanding their collaboration with Netflix, as they prepare to launch two new non-fiction series.

This development marks the culmination of their five-year partnership with the streaming service, which began in 2020 following their decision to step back from their roles as senior members of the royal family and relocate to the United States.

The initial series, according to an exclusive report by Deadline on Thursday, will showcase Meghan’s exploration of the pleasures of cooking, gardening, hosting, and fostering meaningful friendships.

Leah Hariton, known for her work on “Selena + Chef,” will take on the role of showrunner, while Michael Steed, renowned for his contributions to “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction” and “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown,” will serve as director.

Executive producing the series are Meghan and Chanel Pysnik, representing Archewell Productions, the media company founded by the Sussexes.

The second series, primarily filmed at the US Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida, promises to offer viewers unprecedented access to the world of professional polo.

Unlike its usual portrayal for its aesthetic and social aspects, this series will delve deeper into the sport’s intensity and dedication, showcasing the players and the relentless effort required to compete at the highest level.

Both of these yet-to-be-titled shows are currently in the early stages of production, as reported by Deadline. Prior to her 2018 royal wedding to Prince Harry, Meghan curated The Tig, a lifestyle blog she launched in 2014 and later closed in 2017.

Cooking has always been a passion for the former “Suits” star, who previously shared her recipes for dishes like beet cheesecake and spicy broccoli and hempseed stew on The Tig.

During her time as a senior member of the royal family in 2018, Meghan also spearheaded the launch of a charity cookbook to raise funds for the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.

Meanwhile, polo has been a significant part of Harry’s life, with his participation in tournaments spanning years. He counts Argentinian polo star Ignacio Figueras among his closest friends.

The Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club lies close to Harry and Meghan’s Montecito residence, where they are currently raising their two children, four-year-old Archie Harrison and two-year-old Lilibet Diana.

As part of their agreement with Netflix, the couple debuted a six-part docuseries titled “Harry & Meghan,” which quickly became the streaming platform’s most successful documentary launch to date.

However, their subsequent documentaries, “Heart of Invictus” and “Live to Lead,” received a more lukewarm reception from viewers. Following these releases, the Sussexes faced scrutiny amidst reports that executives at both Spotify and Netflix expressed disappointment with their perceived lack of experience as producers.

Consequently, Spotify terminated its $20 million deal with the Sussexes and their production company, Archewell Audio, after just one season of Meghan’s podcast, “Archetypes.”
