Man found dead along Airport Road hours before scheduled flight

Spread the love

A man was found lying lifeless along Airport Road in what witnesses suspect to be a hit-and-run incident.

According to an eyewitness, the deceased was meant to check in for an EgyptAir flight scheduled for 2 p.m., but was reportedly seen dead around 8 a.m. — just hours before his supposed departure.

His phone was missing from the scene, raising suspicions that it may have been stolen after the incident. Only his international passport was found beside his body.

The discovery sparked fresh calls for better surveillance and emergency response systems along major routes, especially those leading to airports.

One observer noted that “CCTV cameras and constant police patrols should be available, including ambulances. This country needs to do better.”

In an update hours later, it was confirmed that the man’s family has located him, though details surrounding the circumstances of his death remain unclear.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement as investigations continue.
