A man from Virginia has been charged with making death threats against Vice President Kamala Harris and appeared in federal court on Monday.

Court records indicate that Frank Lucio Carillo made numerous threats against Harris, President Joe Biden, FBI Director Christopher Wray, several officials in Arizona, and others on the right-wing social media platform Gettr. In response to a subpoena, the FBI discovered 4,359 posts from Carillo “targeting various public officials,” including Harris.

Among these posts, Carillo allegedly threatened to cut out Harris’s eyes and described multiple methods he intended to use to kill the vice president.

In one post, he reportedly wrote, “I will cut your eyes out,” while referring to Harris as a “b*tch” and expressing a desire for her to “suffer a slow agonizing death.”

The court records detail numerous similar posts featuring graphic and explicit threats against Harris and others. In one particularly disturbing post from 2023, he expressed Islamophobic sentiments, urging people to “go out with your guns and kill all Muslims.”

When FBI agents first visited Carillo’s home regarding the social media threats, he reportedly asked, “Are you here about the online stuff?” and admitted, “I posted it.” He was also heard talking to himself, saying, “I guess I’m gonna need a lawyer,” according to court documents.

Federal agents subsequently seized two firearms from his residence, including a pistol he purchased in 2023 and a rifle acquired this year.
