The arrest of a male student from Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), accused of raping a fellow male student, has sparked widespread discussions about s*xual ass@ult.
According to reports from LIB, unverified online sources allege that the 400-level student overpowered the victim and proceeded to s&xually ass@ult him.
Ekiti State Police Command spokesperson, Abutu Sunday, confirmed the arrest on Tuesday, stating that the suspect has denied the allegations.
“The investigation is underway following the suspect’s denial of the complainant’s allegations,” said the Public Relations Officer (PPRO).
A video which went viral on Monday, June 17, showed the suspect being taken away by police while a crowd made up of students followed behind, demanding to deliver justice on the victim by themselves.
As the video went viral on X, a number of users questioned why a man would allegedly rape another man.
