Iran’s military rejects Trump’s negotiation claims as Israel, Iran exchange airstrikes

Israel and Iran exchanged fresh airstrikes as Iran’s military dismissed claims by Donald Trump that negotiations were underway to end the ongoing conflict.

Iran’s armed forces, dominated by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, rejected reports of any talks with the United States, insisting that Washington was “negotiating with itself.” A senior military spokesperson, Ebrahim Zolfaqari, stated that Iran would not engage in any agreement with the U.S., now or in the future.

The response follows reports that the U.S. had proposed a multi-point plan to Tehran in a bid to de-escalate tensions. However, Iranian officials maintain that previous U.S. actions during negotiations have undermined trust.

Meanwhile, the conflict continues to intensify. The Israeli military confirmed it carried out a wave of strikes targeting infrastructure in Tehran, with reports indicating that some residential areas were affected and rescue efforts are ongoing.

Iran, in retaliation, launched new attacks on multiple locations in Israel, including Tel Aviv and Kiryat Shmona, while also targeting U.S. military bases in Kuwait, Jordan, and Bahrain, according to state media.

Authorities in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia confirmed intercepting drone attacks, with one incident involving a fuel tank fire at Kuwait International Airport, though no casualties were reported.

Despite rising casualties, global economic pressure, and escalating military actions, there are currently no clear signs of de-escalation, as both sides continue sustained offensives.
