He was just paying attention – Singer Taylor Swift opens up about her engagement to Travis Kelce

American singer, Taylor Swift, is opening up about her engagement to his fiancé and NFL star, Travis Kelce.

During an appearance on the U.K. radio show Heart Breakfast on Friday, October, 3, the pop superstar, 35, opened up about her engagement to Kelce, also 35, and the effort the footballer put into designing her sparkler.

After hosts Emma Bunton and Jamie Theakston congratulated Swift on the engagement and asked her to see the ring, Swift shared of Kelce, “He designed it with this amazing jeweler, Kindred Lubeck. She does all of her gold engraving by hand.

“I had shown him a video, I just thought her stuff was so cool, I had shown him a video like a year and a half ago and he was just paying attention to everything it turns out because when I saw the ring I [gasped] … I was like, ‘I know who made this, I know who made this,’ and also, you listen to me!”

“It was like, you really know me. I didn’t know what I would want, but he did somehow, and that’s kind of a flex,” she added.

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on Aug.26, in a post on Instagram alongside photos from the floral-filled proposal.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the post was captioned.

Elsewhere during the interview, Spice Girl Bunton, 49, asked Swift about her plans for her bachelorette, though the “Opalite” singer admitted that it’s something she has not yet considered.

“Everyone is scattered across the world is the thing,” she said of her friends. “You would think that I had been the type of person who would have obsessed over the idea of a wedding my whole life, but I actually never thought about what I would ever do or what I would want until I met the person, so I haven’t even thought about that, doing a hen do or whatever. This is the first time I have thought about it. [My girlfriends], they’re so fun, but so busy.”

Footballer Kelce teamed up with jewelry designer Kindred Lubeck of the brand Artifex Fine Jewelry, which houses luxury designs retailing upwards of $33,600, to design the ring.

The vintage-style piece of jewelry boasts a massive old mine brilliant cut diamond. The ring, which is estimated by Angelic Diamonds’ Neil Dutta to be between 7 and 10 carats, appears to be a bezel setting, meaning it wraps around the center stone.
