France Crushes Ukraine 4-0 to Secure 2026 World Cup Spot as Mbappé Reaches 400 Career Goals

France delivered a dominant performance in Paris on Wednesday night, defeating Ukraine 4-0 to officially seal their place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The victory puts Les Bleus at the top of Group D with 13 points from five matches, continuing their superb qualification campaign.

Kylian Mbappé once again stole the spotlight, scoring twice and reaching a historic personal milestone. His first strike of the night marked the 400th goal of his professional career—an extraordinary feat at just 26 years old. With the achievement, Mbappé becomes the youngest player since Pelé to hit the 400-goal mark, further cementing his status as one of the most prolific forwards of his generation.

France’s attacking power didn’t stop there. Michael Olise, continuing his impressive rise, added a clinical finish to make it 3-0 after being set up by N’Golo Kanté, who was making his first international start in over a year. The assist highlighted the midfielder’s seamless return to the squad and showcased the depth and quality at Didier Deschamps’ disposal.

Hugo Ekitike rounded off the scoring with a composed late goal, putting the result beyond doubt and wrapping up a commanding display from the 2018 world champions.

With qualification now secured, France shifts its focus to refining the team ahead of the 2026 tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Fans, meanwhile, continue to marvel at Mbappé’s relentless rise, as the superstar forward adds yet another page to his already historic career.
