Nigerian Rising Star FOLA Joins Forces with Afrobeats Icon Kizz Daniel on New Single Lost

Nigerian fast-rising talent FOLA has linked up with Afrobeats heavyweight Kizz Daniel for Lost, a fresh single released under Dangbana Republik and Flyboy I.N.C. Produced by SBthaproducer (SB), Lost marks FOLA’s first official drop of 2025 and sets the stage for his highly anticipated project expected later this year.

Following standout features on Bella Shmurda’s Dangbana Riddim and Zlatan’s Get Better, FOLA steps even further into the spotlight, while Kizz Daniel reinforces his reign as one of Afrobeats’ top-tier hitmakers.

Lost is a stirring Afro-fusion anthem that fuses the raw edge of street-pop with the smooth melodies of Afrobeats, creating a sound that speaks across generations. Exploring themes of heartbreak, self-discovery, and emotional vulnerability, FOLA’s gritty vocals pair effortlessly with Kizz Daniel’s silky, signature tone.

Lyrics like “Olo mi jo, shanu mi jo, malo damu mi jo, ’cause I’m really lost, I’ve seen it all” channel deep longing and confusion, while lines such as “Kowa comfort mi, le mo body mi, ko yo burden mi ah, I know you got eyes on money mi” expose a layered narrative of mistrust and emotional battles. The song’s irresistible chorus has already sparked viral moments on TikTok, with fans gravitating to its heartfelt vibe.

The production, helmed masterfully by SB, weaves rhythmic drums with soulful melodies, enhancing the track’s emotional pull. Ahead of its official release, FOLA previewed Lost during a private listening session with Wizkid, who was seen vibing to the track—further fueling excitement among fans.

FOLA, who made waves in 2024 with his breakout hit Alone featuring Bhadboi OML and its remix with BNXN, is quickly carving out a place for himself as one of Nigerian music’s next major players.

Meanwhile, Kizz Daniel, still riding the success of his 2024 hit Twe Twe and a notable feature on Police alongside Angélique Kidjo and Johnny Drille, lends his global star power to the collaboration.

With its emotional storytelling, catchy rhythms, and the magnetic pull of two standout voices, Lost is poised to become a defining track for FOLA’s rising career and another gem in Kizz Daniel’s ever-growing legacy. Early buzz across streaming platforms and social media suggests the song could become one of 2025’s standout anthems, seamlessly blending street vibes with mainstream appeal.
