Vitor Roque Joins Palmeiras After Barcelona Exit, Shares Endrick’s Influence
Vitor Roque has officially signed with Palmeiras after the Brazilian club finalized his transfer from Barcelona last week.
The deal, worth a fixed €25.5 million plus €5 million in potential add-ons, gives Palmeiras an 80% stake in the forward’s rights, making it one of South America’s most high-profile transfers.
Conversation with Endrick
Before sealing his move to São Paulo, Roque spoke with Real Madrid’s rising star Endrick. The two share a strong bond from their time in Brazil’s youth teams.
“I spoke to Endrick, and he wished me good luck. He’s someone I really support. We only played against each other, and now being at Palmeiras, where he made history, is a great joy for me,” Roque told Mundo Deportivo.
A Long-Awaited Decision
Roque’s future had been a hot topic for weeks. Initially on loan at Real Betis, he was keen to finish the season in Spain before making a decision. However, in January, his agent, André Cury, presented him with a formal offer from Palmeiras.
Though hesitant at first about returning to the Brasileirao so soon after leaving Athletico Paranaense, Palmeiras’ vision convinced him. The club assured him he wouldn’t just be another signing but a key part of their ambitious project—ultimately making the move a win for all parties.
