The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has revealed how the 38 churchgoers abducted in Eruku, Kwara state last Tuesday, were released last Sunday November 23..

In an interview with Arise TV last night November 24, Onanuga said the military and the Department of State Security DSS were involved in the rescue. He mentioned that the security operatives contacted the bandits and compelled them to release the victims. He said the bandits had no other option but to comply because they know the consequences of defying government directives.

‘’They made contact with the bandits to secure the release of the captives. Security agencies have systems for tracking these criminals, allowing them to monitor developments in real time. They reached out to the kidnappers and demanded the release of the victims, and they complied, aware of the consequences of defying government directives.” he said
