Donald Trump contends he significantly enriched Taylor Swift

Donald Trump contends he significantly enriched Taylor Swift – Donald Trump asserted that he has been a significant contributor to Taylor Swift’s financial success throughout her career.

The former US president made this claim in a social media post on Sunday, February 11, seemingly in response to rumors that Joe Biden is seeking Swift’s endorsement for the upcoming election.

On his Truth Social platform, Trump stated, “I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists. Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will.”

According to Trump, Swift should not endorse Joe Biden, whom he referred to as the “worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country,” and be disloyal to the person who played a pivotal role in her financial success.

Trump further expressed his appreciation for Swift’s boyfriend, Travis, despite potential political differences, stating, “Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!”

While Trump did sign the Music Modernization Act (MMA) into law in 2018, Swift did not benefit significantly from it, as clarified by the Future of Music Coalition on Twitter.

The MMA primarily focused on aiding songwriters and pre-1972 artists, and the organization noted that Trump’s involvement in its passage was limited.

In a previous development, Trump’s allies declared a “holy war” against Swift in anticipation of the upcoming election. Swift had endorsed Biden in 2020, contributing to record-breaking numbers on the Vote.org website.

Swift celebrated her boyfriend Kelce’s victory at Super Bowl 2024 in Las Vegas, where she was joined by Ice Spice, Lana Del Rey, and Blake Lively.
